Will I lose output going from 1 HD315 to 2 RL-p 12s?

I currently have an HD315 in 4 cubes at 40 hz. I'm considering trying 2 RL-p 12s in 3.75 cubes at about 28 hz. Amp is a kx2500. This is in the back of an Expedition. HD3s are sub back, port back. RL-ps would be subs back, port up. I'm pretty sure I'll gain sq with the RL-ps, but should I gain or lose output? I appreciate any opinions.

Tuning that low, I'm pretty sure you'll have less output, even though you have a bit more cone area. If I were you I would compramise, no point tuning that low unless your looking pure SQ, go for like 32-33hz, subs up port back:D

It is tuned pretty low for my tastes but it's a box I just ended up with. I'm keeping the third row seat in my Expedition so there's no way to face the subs up. I may just forget the whole thing if I'm going to lose output. Thanks.
