OK. I went from a 15" Massive CW off 600w and "upgraded" to a 15" RE SX off 1200w...I really cant hear much of a difference that would classify as an upgrade. Was I expecting too much? Is it in the same ported box though. I mean I hear alittle difference, more punch and alittle louder but not really satisfying. I think I may just get 2 lower end 15"s and seal them. I tryed turning my gain up for the hel of it but didnt get much, just loud n distorted.

Sounds odd. What kind of box? Are you sure you have the right ohm load from the subwoofer? What type of vehicle?
3CF at 34hz. Yes im pretty sure the ohm load is right, wired a D2 to 1 ohm. Its in an infiniti J30 and the trunk is sealed pretty good! Took the back seat out and couldnt even look into the trunk...I had too run the Power wire through a rubber grommet. My gas tank is sitting in the trunk too which is how it was made which also may be the reason why the trunk is soo **** sealed from the back seat. Should I be hearing a good difference in output?

Bingo. Infiniti's are just like my Lexus was, they **** at getting sound through. I had a pair of 3004s back there, sounded ok but didnt get very loud. Popped in a single 12 and 600rms just to kill time til I sold it and it didnt sound too much different. 2 ways around it.

#1-Crazy box....port through deck, armrest, etc

#2-Sell your car

ok well it does sound sumwhat louder...I guess i was just expecting way too much. I think I may need just more surface area. hopefully 2 15" sealed will be what I need.

Well it's gonna sound louder, obviously, but what Im saying is the way the seats/gas tank position themselves they only allow so much bass through. From experience, spend your extra money on getting an ultimate box made instead of wasting money on more cone area for minimal gain and more electric stress.

ok ill take that into consideration but i really dont have much more room to fit an ultimate box. I have at most 38x18x15 too spare

Never said it had to be a massive box, the size of your box seems fine. Your goal needs to be getting more bass into the cabin. For my lexus I needed to get 80inches on here to make me a design. It was a 4th order with 2 tens through the armrest. In a 4th order ALL of the bass will come out of the port and if you kind find someway to get it through (armrest by removing metal/plastic, rear deck through speakers, etc). I'd take it into consideration as I believe it;s the only hope for cars like this.

hmmm. I think im going to remove the 6x9s in the rear deck since I got them at -10 because all I hear is them popping from all the bass in the trunk, should be a good start. thanks
