will i have to replace wiring

The short answer is "Yes" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

If the factory speakers use a manufacturer-proprietary plug to connect to the stock speakers it'll have to be nipped off to wire to the new speakers but it's no biggie. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If you're going to be running much more than 30W per side, you might as well rip out the stock wiring and run your own. It's usually very small in gauge and won't handle a lot of power well.

Best buy sells connectors so you don't have to do that. It has a connector on one side and a female spade connect on the other.

what about if you were sending more then 100 watts?

should you replace the speaker wiring?

i have dash adn door speakers, using factory wiring with the crossover under rear seat so each run is prob 10 feet.

is that too much to run on stock wiring?

How are you using factory wiring if you mounted the crossover under one of the seats? It would probably be a good idea to get some 14gauge wiring at that power range in my opinion.

factory amp was under the rear seat, so all the speaker wires going to the doors, dash is conviently under the rear seat.

just tapped into that.

i think im gonna have my XRs replaced and have new wiring and new components installed.
