Many of us all love car audio power amps. Some amplifiers do fluctuate in value

and depending on demand, can demand a high price even compared to original retail. But lets face it, outside of our world, they have little value.

Do you think someday, it's possible that your grand children or their children could find your amp collection and be able to get rich off of it? Like buy a house or more?

As companies go out of business and designs change, some amps may not sell more that a couple thousand examples, many of which may be lost to time.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

i don´t think so, we are the last generation that use caraudio as an interest, i dont think you can use caraudioproducts in 10-20 years in electric cars? but the americans can make the oil last longer and stop driving huuge cars with v8 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

maybe so. who knows. i stumbled across a MTX RFL sub and tried to talk em out of it for a few hundred but no dice. i think its only going to be between the true audio enthusiasts, who makes it, and a buyer willing to fork over some cash

And then we'll lament all the batteries.

Nope.

I'm not sure I'd call anything mass-produced "art". Would need to be hand-made to start to qualify.

Amps like the WAVAC HE-833As or Electroluv amps wouldn't be valued much outside the audio world, hell, most people who have only used a Hifonics amp probably wouldn't value them much either //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

it is very possible, some amps to look at are the rare ones. special makes, limited productions etc. its a hit or miss thing as far as what they will be worth 75-100yrs from now.
