Will a 3 way comp system always sound better than a 2 way??

Ok so im debating on weather or not to go with a 2 way system or to go with a 3 way system..

my question is, will a 3 way system always sound better than a 2 way system??

Given infinite variables, your answer is no.

Generally yes, but not always. You could get cheap 3-ways that would not sound as good as good 2-ways, you could install cheap 2-ways really nicely and they could sound better than expensive 3-ways, etc.
