Right now I have a stock alternator which I am almost positive is 80amp

its in a 65 mustang with a

1000watt amp (320 amp rms)

240 watt head unit

right now if i try to run the wipers and heater my radio will cut off completely from lack of power and also the amp will cut out

i did the big 3 but didnt help as I am still lacking power

do you think a 120amp would support my little system?

Wow, that doesn't sound right. Must be something more to it, possibly bad wires? What brand/model is your head unit?

I guess your heater could be incredibly inefficient though.

actually i just found out the stock alternator is 65amp or below

i have an electric fan too i never had a problem until i upgraded to this amplifier which puts out like double the rms wattage along with the pionner speakers which are 80rms
