2 jbl 1200's @ 2 ohm each, lanzar vibe 410, 160 amp alt, red top under hood, will i be ok w/1 blue top in trunk? or should i go for 2? itd only be for shows w/the 2nd jbl. daily would be just 1 @ 1 ohm.

no blue tops....those are for boats. use yellow tops.

as to whether or not that is sufficient.....probably just for burps. not daily driving. you would need a bigger alt.

I've seen blue tops in some SPL vehicles. I always wondered why in the hell. I would go with yellow top though.

the dealer tells me that yellow and blue are identical except for the top posts found on the blue. I have sold and used both and can tell no obvious differerence though I do keep yellow in stock primarily b/c that is what everyone is used to.

Where as Optima has told me time and time again to use a Yellow Top for aftermarket electrical accesories...

yea one yellow for each jbl will be fine. if i read what u wrote right then i understand ur just running one of the jbl's. so the 160 amp alt will be fine.
