Wierd amp problem =(

Well yesterday I got in my car and it sounded like my subs were on, but no music was playing. It wasn’t like a strait tone but more like a in and out motion with no music on.

I switched sources and that didn’t help. I turned the sub off from the head unit and that didn’t help

Well when I got home to try to figure it out it stopped.

This morning it started doing it again.

If I get out and take the keys out it will stop, but when I turn the head unit on it will do it again.

Any ideas?

Turn the gains down. Sounds like the amp is constantly sending a signal through, that can be an issue with the remote wire but because its happening with your system on more likely the gains are just too high.

I get a loud turn off pop when it happens.

Thats the caps losing charge, still think ur gains need to be turned down, how high are they?

max with bass boost at +18

nah they are about ......3/8 of the way up....I might have to turn then down more

I also noticed if I adjust the subsonic it stops

Ya thats because you're cutting the frequencies out.

well its not doing it at all today.

and i didnt do anything

im really starting to think something is loose

dah it was the fraking gain

it was set just a hair over what i thought it was
