i love the large group of lawyers, attorneys, and judges we have here at ca.com. Who knew it was such a well educated site.
My dad has gotten his GPS (same GPS cuz he bought the same one, lol) stolen twice right out of his car because he forgot to lock it at night. Right outside our house. And i live in a nice neighborhood.x3
someone just happens to notice your cars unlocked?
watch outside your house one night, if you don't see someone walking the streets testing door handles (like apparently they do every night), then it was an inside job.
X2Morally it is both their faults because he let someone borrow his car and he didn't ask the girl about his car when she got back. She was at fault too for she didn't lock the car that she borrowed. However, in court, she is liable for nothing. Its your car that you have insured on your name not hers so even if she hit someone with the car, its on you to pay for the damages.
car was 5 feet away from house, if alarm was armed it would have gone off, we would have woken up, it's loud.Take care of your own shit and don't blame anyone else. Besides they would get your stereo if the car was locked or not.
thismoral of the story, dont trust hoebitches
Thanks, if she did arm the alarm though, I doubt they would have taken anything, I would have heard iti dont see how any of you retards could think its the OPs fault. It probably would have gotten broken into either way with the alarm on and car locked or not, but i dont see how him getting his shit stolen from him is his fault.
I was drunk, didn't even occur in my mind to ask but i should have. And thanks.personally if i lend my car out to someone to go get more booze i usually ask them right when they come in if they locked my car and if they didnt and said yes then it would be there fault and i would expect to get paid but thats just my 2 cents
I love all the court comments, court is only this important in the USA, idiots will sue anybody for anything here.....i love the large group of lawyers, attorneys, and judges we have here at ca.com. Who knew it was such a well educated site.
Morally the girl feels responsible and will be paying me back. She makes enough $, I don't let broke friends drive my car.My dad has gotten his GPS (same GPS cuz he bought the same one, lol) stolen twice right out of his car because he forgot to lock it at night. Right outside our house. And i live in a nice neighborhood.
X2
Your car is YOUR responsibility, no one else's. Anything that happens to your car, you are assumed responsibility even if you werent driving it or using it. Morally it's the girls fault, but she can simply say "fvck you" and not have to pay anything.
I dont let anyone who i can't trust (or can't pay for the car) drive it. Only parents, and uncles drive it, and my gf if she knew how to drive stick. My rule of thumb is, if they can't pay for it, don't let them borrow it.
same i press the lock button muiltpul times a dayif she doesnt have her own car that should of been your first warning
why did you not drive her?
and its your fault for not making sure it was locked
I make sure my car is locked 4-5 times
its not a bad neighbor hood but ya know
yea she may be dumb for not takeing the 1 second to press the button but maybe she dident know what to do. not to stand up on either side but couldent you take the second to press the button yourself just a thought if she could you sould have right?Yes she should... dumb bitch didn't bother to take 1 ****ing second to press the lock button on the remote fob. And as a direct result, some thief had the easiest ****ing gear-heist of his entire life. Atleast if the car was locked, he would've had to bust a window or something and the alarm would've gone off.

i just had a dream that this dude borrowed my truck and blew my subs and amp, and took it to the beach and got sand everywhere. I was pissed and thought it was real hahahaahi have had dreams like that too
I never would let anyone borrow my car. unless it was a close close friend. I let this one guy use it, but I took off the HU faceplate so he couldnt **** with my system.
i have never had anyone else drive my car since ive owned it i am the only one. even when i bring for repairs i drive it into the shop.
let one person once drive my car the next day the system was gone. makes you wonder.
so you saw her driving like a retard from your neighbors camera?car was 5 feet away from house, if alarm was armed it would have gone off, we would have woken up, it's loud.
I found out my neighbor has a camera, we watched it, apparently the girl who took my car to go to liquor store was driving like a retard attracting attention. Some thieves followed her from liqour store to the house, and came back later on at night.
my gf is Russian, the girl who took my car is my buddies gf, and she's Korean. She's driven the car before, and locked it.pics of said russian girlfriend... We shall deem a solid judgement/punishment based upon her pics alone... (story is not needed)
Ok I hate to sound racist but there's your problem right there. Koreans+Cars=No Good. I would never ever ever let a korean drive my car. Nothing against them as a race but for some reason they seem to have bad luck with cars. If I were you I would just be happy she didn't wreck the car so you can still at least drive it.my gf is Russian, the girl who took my car is my buddies gf, and she's Korean. She's driven the car before, and locked it.
apparently she told me she had a few beers herself and just wanted to take my car out cuz she liked.
A buddy of mine's girlfriend decided to borrow my car last night to get beer. She came back, parked the car outside and didn't lock it.
I woke up in the mourning to go home since I spent the night.

I told her she's paying me everything, but the moral of the story is don't trust women w/ your things, especially your car.
This is the second time when I gave a woman my car and something bad happened, I've learned my lesson this time.
