another 1000watts amp and an external processor/eq would probably be cheaper //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifonly draw back to the jl slash sub amps are the fact they are a little more inefficient. other than that if you want those features and a non cookie cutter amp and can afford them why not get one? sheesh lol
you could say that about alot of amps...not just JLanother 1000watts amp and an external processor/eq would probably be cheaper //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
http://www.audiogroupforum.com/csforum/showthread.php?t=44178&page=3My fault, they compared only 4 amps, so obviously Tru Zapco and Genesis were top 3. IMO they are all better than JL. Here is the link. http://www.caraudiomag.com/technical/0509cae_car_audio_testing/index.html
I think if you read the entire article, you will find that Car Audio Mag performs their testing in a very non-biased and controlled environment. Mobile Dynamics provided the facilities.
that's one of the main reason tho //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifi can also remember a time when people were saying other subs like the Brahma and old XXX were better than a W7. taking alot of things into consideration the w7 was still superior in a lot of fields. 80% of the "it's better" came from prices at the time. that isnt hardly a "better" reason...may be a preffered reason but not better.
That's like arguing that a Vette is a "better" car than an Enzo because it's cheaper. The Vette might be great for the money, but the Enzo is great for any money. Price is not related to overall merit. Something might be a bargain but when judging on actual merit, price is not a variable in the equation.that's one of the main reason tho //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Right. Really my point exactly. "Best for the money" and "best" are two very different things though. Just because the "best" isn't in your budget doesn't make the best within your budget any better on the whole. It just makes it the best for your budget. When you use the word "best" without the qualification of "for the money," then money isn't an issue and plays no part in the comparison. No matter what the price is, it all comes down to what you can fit in your budget, and getting the most performance for what you want to do in those constraints.
