idc about it doing same wattage on all ohms i mean if your smart you buy your amp according to the set up which no matter how you cut it 1000 watts can be had at ALMOST ANY ohms FAR FAR FAR cheaper than the JL 1000 and the only one ive ever seen clamped didnt even do rated (at 14 volts) did like 970 something
i mean JL themselves dont even MAKE an amp that can power the 13w7 (that ive ever seen) and if they did it would probably be like 2000 bucks
bro ive had 4 12w7s and heard and seen too **** many of them slash 1000s and never once have i been impressed in any way shape or form. i mean not when i consider the price the amp is no more than a 300 dollar amp hiked up like a mofo
The slash series amps are really nice and are perfect to power W7. W7 typically fails @ 1200-1500W. If you can't get W7 to sound good you're a retard...

im tired of seeing a used 2000 watt amp for 400+ dollars thats all what people do doesnt bother me but all im saying is WTF is the logical reason behind it i see non.
That Zenon 2K board is very strong (capable of way more than 2K) and very reliable. They're worth every penny of 400$ IMO, I've owned a couple (not Sundown branded).
my friend did a 156 out of a trunk with a DC level 6 18, comparable to a sundown nightshade.
LV6 is a whole different animal. As loud as small gap Shocker, DD95, etc. but with 4" coil. I very impressive platform if they could get better softparts in it. Priced high and 270$ recones when you break them.

but for some reason i see sundown frickin EVERYWHERE while not a whole lot of american bass..why is this?..
i can see why you see kicker and rockford and what not all the time...EVERYONE sells them ive even heard walmart is starting too? lol
American Bass is NOTHING like Sundown. I have seen Sundown's operation (haven't seen AB's, but talked to people who have) and it's apples and oranges. Also AB builds absolutely nothing in house, and has spent nothing in R&D. Everything they sell is standard re-badged Korean mid-fi (like just about every other company). I can't vouch for their customer service either, but the boys at Sundown really are a class act to deal with. Never heard anything bad about AB either, but it's a whole different show.
At this point I can't see JL still justifying their price for 12 year old technology, but they've certainly done good marketing to get away with it. I wouldn't buy ANYTHING at MSRP ever so I don't even care.
