actually i paid for my car, my insurance, and every single piece of my system on my own, with my own money. my mom thinks this shit is stupid she wouldnt help me pay for any of it even if i asked.. and i live on my own, since i graduated high school, i can afford my system and truck i drive because i have a full ride football scholarship and a job which i work relentlessly to pay for all my nice shit. so no, sir.. even if i did still live with my mom, she only made 30k a year and was a single parent.
my friend did a 156 out of a trunk with a DC level 6 18, comparable to a sundown nightshade. but youve probably never heard anything that loud..

Not sure if the op is Kevin from Skar or he just has a couple screws loose. People myself included purchase sundown products because of good performance, customer service etc etc. Your comparisons make no sense btw and bacon for the win. There now the op can direct all of his wrath upon me because I don't know anything proceed with worthless thread about sundown being overpriced.

On sundown audio's nuts? Talk about way over priced just like JL but EVERYONE nut hugs Sundown but hates on JL they are both WAY overpriced no doubt quality but same quality can be had much cheaper and hell for that matter is rather over pay for certain JL products than I would Sundown..altho neither are worth a splurge..

Instead of complaining, don't buy their products if you believe they are overpriced. I personally love sundown, its not really about price its about what the person wants and needs for themselves. to each is own is all i can say. save yourself some time and don't complain, just dont buy expensive stuff..

just tired of hearing about sundown....or seeing people bash everything but basically lick sundowns nuts.
im tired of seeing a used 2000 watt amp for 400+ dollars thats all what people do doesnt bother me but all im saying is WTF is the logical reason behind it i see non. I can see owning them liking them bragging about them complimenting them....BUT not to the exstent i always read and see and not for the price either...just gets annoying i guess.

Well maybe if you understood a bit more about what overpriced stuff gets us as consumers, it wouldn't be so annoying to you. For instance, in the world of cars, most of the really convenient or safe features we take for granted in our Honda Civics and Dodge Cobalts came from research and development at overpriced car companies or in the very costly racing industry. Manufacturer's who come up with these innovations can't do so without funding, because it costs a lot of money to hire talented engineers and designers to sit in rooms and think up things to try... and then build at the risk of most of them not seeing the light of day.

The same happens in car audio. The guys who spend $150,000.00 on Sundown and other high end audio equipment for competitions allow companies like them to innovate and ten years from now you or I will be taking for granted some of the things that today can only be had for thousands of dollars.

Because of that, I'm happy that there are people willing to buy Bentleys and Ferraris and JL Audio and Sundown.

All my stuff is "overpriced" and I love every minute of it, while I abuse the hell out of it day in and day out and it still dont miss a beat. How can you say a W7 is overpriced when its in a catagory of its very own? No other sub can do what they do. They can get just as loud off 1000 watts as others do off 2000 and sound great doing it. Now those subs running 2000 can possibly run 4000 watts and be way louder but if we go off 1000 watts the W7 is hard to match and keep sounding as good as they do. The W6 line is amazing if you are not a "basshead". The Slash/HD amps also have no competition. It sounds like OP is just spitting off BS with no real understanding
