Why I am saving money

Here is what im working all those precious hours for. Ive done some reasearch on CA and here is what I want to buy in the near future. I still need help deciding what deck i want to have and my amp for my components.
Please let me know what you think....

Subs - (2) 12in Fi Q with BP

Amp for subs - Sundown 1500

Components - Morel Tempo 6

Amp for Components - ???? Help

Deck - ???? Help
I vote new SAX-100.4 for components, fully active.

Something not Pioneer for the deck... perhaps a higher end Alpine:

Something like that.

I am looking at that SAX-100.4

How many watts will i be able to give each speaker? I have two components (4 ohm) so far. I dont know if i will need rear speakers in a civic coupe

You don't need rears - just use the amps internal crossovers to actively run the mids and tweeters separately. You now have the option for 24 dB slopes so this will really help prevent blowing the tweeter when you crank it up.

You also have a built-in "sub sonic" that can be used in combination with the LPF to both low-pass and high pass (sub-sonic) the midrange.

Your way above my head. But its cool i dont need to buy rear speakers. I thought of buying some coaxles just to even it out.

I believe i will need some help installing my components. Its all above my head. Any good installers in ohio?

Why not a Pioneer HU, I like mine.
When a customer calls me with a problem I go down the list like so:

1) What kind of RCAs do you have ?

2) Do you have a Pioneer HU ?

It goes on further... but seems that I have it solved about by item 2 many times. Lots of grounding issues with the newer Pioneer units it seems.

True, I have heard and even experienced the problem myself, **** picofuse. If I were to buy a new HU it would be between the PRS 880 or the Alpine 9887, but for now mine seems to be working great.

get the 9887... great headunit, very flexible, and great iPod setup! Love this thing!

This is true. I've worked with two Pioneer units, and both of them were extremely sensitive. One was accidentally hot-swapped (a skateboard yanked out my RCA's from my amp) which blew the micro-resistor...

The other one, I don't even know what happened. The pico fuse just blew. I had to ground both of them. I used Radioshack RCA's for both installs. But, other than that, the RCA's have been good to me.

While I love my unit. It has great options, looks good, sounds good.

I'm definitely getting the 9887 as my next unit. I don't feel like having to ground the RCA's.

It's because your rcas shorted out... if you want to avoid any problems with the pioneers, just don't mess with the rca's if there is power to your car. If you unplug the battery before messing with the rcas you will never blow the pico fuse and need to ground your rcas. Although yes it is a design flaw, and is annoying, and pioneer should fix it, it's really your fault that the thing blew!
