not sure, but waiting at stop lights getting 0mpg and using force to get the car back in motion both would seem to use more gas than a constant speed thus lowering actual mpgdidn't mythbusters test that and found there was no difference at all?
Usually I turn my vehicle off but than at times when im picking someone up or whatever it may be I leave it on, but, isn't it true that when you turn your vehicle off and start it your actually wasting more gas than saving by turning it on again?4.3 weren't built for gas mileage..... but that does seem a little extreme..... it is cold outside and that has a pretty negative affect on your gas mileage, also make sure there is the correct air pressure in your tires, spark plugs are gapped correctly, and any UNNESSESARY weight is removed from your vehicle.....
my 4.6 crown vic gets about 20+ and weighs 4800lbs.....
I think a more helpfull estimate of improper fuel usage is MPG instead of time.... engines that idle for long periods of time get ZERO MPG!!

i dont see the issue? seems you are right on track...Fuel Type Regular MPG (city) 15
MPG (highway) 20
MPG (combined) 16
im aloud to bitch.
For some reason my friends 98 blazer gets better gas mileage than my jimmy does and I always wondered why his "service engine" light was always on. Might have to look into that ^^i also have a 97 jimmy and my car can go 8 hours on half a tank going down the highway the owners before mine punched out the converter to help save gas mileage the only thing wrong with that is that the service engine soon light stays on but its not that big of a deal
actually the only thing bad about punching out the cat, is doing time in federal prison for it...i also have a 97 jimmy and my car can go 8 hours on half a tank going down the highway the owners before mine punched out the converter to help save gas mileage the only thing wrong with that is that the service engine soon light stays on but its not that big of a deal
