that test is not accurate, as already stated.I love averaging 30-32mpg.
MythBusters ran two Expeditions. One with AC on and the other with windows down. Forgot the track (just a nascar based track...) but the AC went like 10 laps less than the windows down. AC compressors **** power so in turn people compensate by giving more throttle, wasting gas.
I don't really notice it much with my Si but in my '95 ZX, man it made a HUGE difference.
Precisely. I think all cars should come with MPG logging in their brains. My GTO had it fr the display and I used it all the time to guage my driving and get the best out of it.that test is not accurate, as already stated.
the more accurate way of doing it would be to do it like they did the "drafting a semi truck myth" where they actually hooked into the fuel line, and saw how much gas was actually being used up. but even then, you'd better hope its a returnless system, cause if not, then its just as inaccurate.
well, he could of been ignorant to the law, or maybe just didnt give a shit. i dont really know. what did he write on the ticket as the citation?Huh. I guess the cop didn't know how to do his job? +1 if that is case!
I once had a cop pull me over for speeding and I told him that my gauge was off due to lowering my truck. He bought it.
I LOL'd myself down the freeway after he let me go.
first bold: he never bothered to look? im guessing it could have just been a noise ordinance ticket no?Don't remember specifically, but he did comment on how the cat had to be missing in order for my friends truck to be so fricken loud (which is what tipped the cop off to start with).
Indeed. He believed that smaller than stock wheels/tires made more speed and a slower speedometer. lawl
