Why do people think SPL scores make their cars "loud"?

We were having these debates about shows being judged by objective test instruments or yelling mobs of hoodrats when I was posting here.
Glad to see things stay the same.

If we measure the number of hood-rats, and divide that by the SPL their yelling you could actually have something somewhat objective to go by.

a smaller vehicle makes you louder? My friend moved his sub/amp from his 4 runner to his extended cab truck and it wasn't nearly as loud in the truck.

I understand the classes(I'm a judge and I'm directly related to various orgs). What I meant was i don't think with my direct relations that she will be allowed to compete. That is the reason I retired, it was becoming an issue in the lanes and to many complaints.
i know your ties into the orgs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sneaky.gif.7189749b3a3f769e8815b47e8ae87f88.gif glad you clarified that though. cause i was thinking we were on 2 different pages ha ha

i think higher frequency's like 45-50 + or so hurt a hell of alot more than lows.

Might be just me.

I mean probably half the people in here havent set in loud cars before so they have no idea what they are talking about

why lows dont even hurt you. Highs really feels like some one is punching you in the chest and makes it hard to breath....Lows look cool when they shake the hell out of everything and move air but the dont feel nothing like 45-55hz
