Why do people recommend a bridged 2 channel over a 1 ChMono for driving a single sub?

If youre just starting and looking to power a low power sub, get a nice 2ch or 4ch and bridge it for the sub(s).

That way when youre ready to upgrade you can run that on your highs and get a nice mono block amp and push some real power to your subs.

the subwoofer you are getting is a single 4ohm coil? Why not just get a DVC subwoofer and then a small mono amp?

Just curious since you haven't purchased anything yet...
