Why do people insist on over-pricing their equipment in the classifieds?

EXACTLY.......I see people on here all the time paying like $20-30 less than what a brand new sub or whatever costs and thinking they got a deal because it's "only" a few weeks/months old. It's NOT new, usually has no warranty, and you are taking a risk with the sellar vs buying from a dealer. To me the peace of mind is worth the little extra $$$.
I don't even bother to look in the classifieds anymore. If there's something I want I just buy it direct or from an online dealer...
online so called dealers is what is screwing small audio shops out of buisness now,i would rather buy something in person personally,my second choice would be off a member on here,if you screw with ebay and online so called dealers you will get fvcked sooner or later and they aint a **** thing you can do about it.

can't do shit if you get fvcked by a member here either

I will be happy to post another comment on here, because personally none of you do anything for me, but on to it. When I first signed up on here and posted some subs on here, I had MODS post dumping in my thread.....I was like WTF? Anywayz, over time I realized it doesn't matter what price you post, I am not about to knowingly let some of you assclowns GET OVER like a fat rat on some noob just entering the car audio scene and think they are getting a good buy on a $300 used woofer and it retails for $300. Consider post dumping as a way to make sure somebody isn't robbing people on a sale. I would rather post dump than to let some kid get his entire summer allowance taken because some ****** on here sold him $1000 worth of used stuff that could have been had for $1100 NEW. If you don't wanna get post dumped, check what your item is going for BEFORE you start listing a price!!!

Why don't you link to all these threads where mods dumped on your classifieds? I would really like to see that.

I am glad that you are publicly saying that you do not give a rat's *** about the forum rules regrading post dumping. Now when you dump on someone's thread (as you did a couple of nights ago) the mods will know that it is no accident. Well done.

x2, i enjoy my money like everyone else but sooner or later the economy is going to shit on itself when retailers cant afford to stay in business because of internet pricing. I agree that people should be able to post whatever price they please, if you dont like it dont buy it. Another thing, alot of times people dont search the net before posting a thread and a price. They dont realize that someone on ebay has it cheaper or whatever. A perfect example is a few weeks ago i posted a classified for a double din nav unit and a guy spent 2 pages post dumping and telling me how he could get it for so much cheaper. How the hell am i supposed to know what everyone can get a certain item for?? And i even checked ebay, crutchfield, and a few other places and my price was lower than all theres by a good amount. I started of with the unit being $1350 shipped i believe and ended up selling for $1075. So yea alot of times if you dont post dump and actually talk to the seller you can get a better deal. But do you really not expect people to seem somewhat angry when you post up random links where there product can be had cheaper? Sometimes a civilized pm can work wanders. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I mean seriously when people post in the classified section of this forum I rarely ever find someone list at a good price. Its always someone listing an item for $350 when you can clearly get it for like $100 less on ebay if not MORE(NEW )(and probably less on other car audio retailer sites as well) I mean whats the point? I mean unless their is some sort of warranty on it(which im guessing most cant be transfered?) And then they complain about post dumping...its hilarious.
Also Almost every price gets talked down...
dude are you really that dumb? and i guess cheep too

if you buy the first thing you see and your a dumbass for not reasearching something if you plan on spending a lot of money then who cares what happens...me personally..and im sure it goes for everybody that has any common sense...if i plan on spending a few hundred bucks on something im not just going to pick the first one i see no matter what...im going to look at it, check some places online, research who/where im buying it from then decide if i still want it, or who im going to purchase it from...

:fyi:It should be a rule that if you post an item for sale you MUST post pics with ur name on it....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I think someone needs some cheese to go with that wine/ whine.

Where is that little smiley playing the worlds smallest violin when you need it.

Yes. Soon enough a company suffers due to lack of those real audio shops...company lowers product quality, production techniques, or reputation to stay alive...people b!tch...

A few companies try to go direct, eD, Fi, etc...but sooner or later they're going to step up production and try doing dealers...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif Then you begin to see them on flEaBay.

If you guys want to support a certain brand, support those who directly support that company. Cheap is cheap, but find yourself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif when that company goes down the toilet. Like my post.
