Why did you get into car audio...and keep doing it?

I was asked this earlier by some friends...what whould you guys reply?

Personally, I said for the challenge. Its a horrible environment for sound and mkaing it sound decent is a challenge. Add to that, I like working with my hands and building crap. But what justifies all the money spent? I tried searching, and nothing showed up...serious responses

Most of all, I enjoy the sound of crisp, clear music. Its amazing how much easier it is to enjoy music when you have a nice system to enjoy it with. I also love the fact that CA is always changing, new products, new methods, etc... I put more money into caraudio than anything else. I don't own a house yet to put a nice 5.1 theatre system in, so my car is the next best thing.

Because most of us drive cars everyday and we all listen to music so why not enhance your equipment to your liking by making it sound better. Also its a cool hobby. Audio is fun to mess around with and use evreyday.

At first I just wanted a small system. Shortly after I wanted to keep upgrading, and now I have spent way too much money on it. It then came to the point where I just want to buy stuff to try it out. Oh well, might as well have fun.

It's addictive...after i try one product i dont think its good enough and i wanna try out everything and make it be the best sounding sytem i could ever want.
