started hearing some noise from my btl, pulled it and....

box is 6.18^ft @31ish (thought it was lower, ran my #'s on ssa box calc, it said 31.xxxx)

power is an orion 2500d@1.5 ohms, ssf set at 30, reconed in feb using parts from team psi

its almost 90 degrees off the tinsels, i thught of this but have kinda ruled it out

'Using parts from TeamPSI' does that mean you did it yourself? I would say weak spider, or if you did it and didn't align it properly it could just flex and crack (like a coat hanger bending it a whole lot at once.)

i did it cone assy. was pre assembled, but it wasnt rubbing, ive been using it for 5 months now w/ no problems

Weakening of the spider most likely then. I've had old home audio subs do this to me. Not nearly as bad as this looks, but exactly like it.

Well if you reconed it yourself, it looks like a weak glue joint. Was the spider separated from the landing?
