Not really. As long as the CO is set within limits many twetters can take twice thatJust skimmed this, but 60watts is a LOT of power for a tweeter. Try cutting that in 1/2 and see how they sound...
OK, show me your tweeters with 120watts clamped on each one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gifNot really. As long as the CO is set within limits may twetters can take twice that
I only have 75 going to mine. Look at my amp, its set with a scope at max output. I dont think I need to clamp it. Look at the Rainbow power tweeters. They are rated at 175 rms. The ones I have now can take 90+ but i dont have it to give them.OK, show me your tweeters with 120watts clamped on each one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif
OP try turning down the power to your tweets and I'm betting the harshness will disappear.
I've only messed with the Legatias and the tweeter was not harsh at all...
sorry, they are 180 rms. The reason for the harshness, those are designed to run active to give the user control. i think youve misread how i have my speakers connected. my tweeter is on coaxial mode so the tweeter is connected to the midrange. i just have speaker wires from my amp to my speakers, theres no settings for me to tweak the tweeter. i dont have any crossovers or anything just connected the speakers to the rear deck and thats it.OK, show me your tweeters with 120watts clamped on each one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif
