i dont have any crossovers. the imagine set doesnt come with a crossover like the clarus or unity. which is pretty stupid because i think they should come with an external crossover like almost all sets do. it has a little built in crossover unithave you tried to mess with the attenuation setting (if you have one) on the x-over? I run mine at -3 and my eq at neg levels on 8khz and up, the higher the khz the more I attenuate it.
is this a good quality amp? looks good is this what i need? ill buy it really soon if u say yes
oh it's one of those setups, yea I have biamp x-overs on my setup, so sounds like active is about your only option oh well it should sound good just a little more hasslei dont have any crossovers. the imagine set doesnt come with a crossover like the clarus or unity. which is pretty stupid because i think they should come with an external crossover like almost all sets do. it has a little built in crossover unit

It's always a build in progress for most of us!yeah freaking car audio is worse then modding my car!!!! lol i spent like 3000 on my car (modding) and spent just under $1000 on my car audio and im NO WHERE near close to being done. i need to make my speakers active now. i need another amp to power my HATs. i need a new amp to power my alpine(going duel) and i need to buy another subwoofer. im having a custom enclosure built now. i need to deaden my car, i need to get a pioneer double din unit. lol i need a ton of more stuff done
yeah well i made a thread about that before and dont FULLY understand how. from my understanding to go active you need a head unit that has a built in 3 way crossover such as some alpines, eclipse, pioneer units. (but those are single din and i dont want that i want a double din pioneer unit)make sure to research how to run active if you don't already know. It's easy to blow tweeters if you do it wrong.
sounds like you understand where to startyeah well i made a thread about that before and dont FULLY understand how. from my understanding to go active you need a head unit that has a built in 3 way crossover such as some alpines, eclipse, pioneer units. so i guess the only other option is to have a regular HU such as my factory or pioneer etc, and buy a seperate electronic crossover. so the wires connect to the crossover from the HU which it gets its signal from. then the crossover sends the crossed over signal to the amplifiers which then send sound to the mids, tweets and subs. is that correct?
yeah i know of course every brand has different levels of quality. but i was referring to that GTO against the soundstream rubicon? and i think the GTO is the best looking amp i have seen i just love itThere are different levels of JBL just like any brand they got low end and crown I believe high end.

sounds like you understand where to start
Have you ever tried the fosgate power series 2/4 channel amps they sound really good IMO and i like the boost knob switched to high pass it adds a nice definition to the highs as I ran into the same issue as you (highs too loud) so I have tweeked my eq into the -'s on everything past the tweeter x-over point then use the boost to bring back just the right amount at the 15khz level only.yeah i know of course every brand has different levels of quality. but i was referring to that GTO against the soundstream rubicon? and i think the GTO is the best looking amp i have seen i just love it
