Certainly not all of them are but the majority are power hungry losers with a superiority complex. I hear they aren't like that in canada and other countries... why is it like that here?

Because they have to deal with people like you all day.

sounds like some one broke the law and is butt hurt now that he got caught.

I got my first speeding ticket in 20 years a few weeks ago. Cop was professional, my bad, I accept the ticket.

I was once pulled over and nearly arrested in a case of mistaken identity, it went far enough that my miranda rights had been read to me, I had been searched, and questioned. At least a dozen officers were present, all were professional even though they certainly weren't particularly friendly. I can understand that, for all they knew I was the suspect they were looking for and could have meant them harm. Once the situation was sorted out, everyone was cool, and the female officer who came to question me speaks to me like an old friend every time I run into her at the convenience store or whatever.

That said, I have never been in legal trouble for anything other than this speeding ticket and one speeding ticket at the age of 18, and about 50 percent of my interaction with police officers, even simply nodding and saying hello to one, has been negative. I'd say about 1/2 of them have a real issue, and the other 1/2 are decent folks doing a job that helps other people.

I know some officers who are great guys overall, but I'd hate to come up on them in a professional situation. Trust me, they all know that they can reach down and unplug that mic that records everything they say, say whatever they want to you, then plug it back in. Anything you do can also be interpreted as a threat to them, and they can react to that without recourse. About 1/2 of the officers I know have done that, simply because they can.

So basically I think about 1/2 of them are good people who are cops because they want a job where they can help their community, the other half are cops so they can carry a gun, act like a ******, do whatever they care to do, and get away with it.

I went to jail, and one of my cousins gave it to me for toothache I had because regular medicine was not taking the pain away., a month later I went to the dentist and he gave me the same lor tab I got pulled over for

I have 2 good friends who are in law enforcement... I also know about 5 more. Ive was in trouble in my younger days, one cop who i knew from bowling cut me a H U G E break back in the day! As in like federal felony! Tho i will say there are more than a few who dont need or deserve to wear a badge... My buddy tells me about all the **** he has to deal with. Its krazy!! Lol

i still feel the same about police...22 run ins in the last two years for a total of like 24 or 25 in my lifetime...never had a good expierience with them.
