Who's willing to help me with a 4th Order? Willing to pay if need be.

I want to build a 4th order bandpass for my trunk this weekend, and use my 4 RD Sonance 12s". I want the port to be going through the ski port. I figured this is the best way to get all the bass into the cab since I don't roll with my backseats down.

The ski port does NOT set flush with the floor of the trunk so I'm guessing I will need to slant the port to some degree. I DO NOT want the port going THROUGH the ski hole. I want it to set a couple of inches away from it.

I want this to have a flat response, but get low as well.

My max dimensions are as follows:

15 H x 30 W x 33 L

Ski port dimensions are : 6.5" wide x 10.5" tall

Here is what my car looks like in the trunk and backseat:

theres a max of 8.5 cubes sealed with no sub displacement.....kinda small to do a 4th order for 4 12's in....if you drop to 2 of them someone may be able to help you out....

Small, really? These subs don't need gigantic ported boxes. I'm going to build a box for three of them at 1.7 cubes each too.

heres my .02

you can possibly (im not sure how they would fit) run 2.6 sealed and 5.0 ported leaving you with about 60 inches of port area running 10-11 inches long.

not the most optimal, but it will fit.

not sure how youd mount the subs though.

Well...let me see if I can illustrate this.

With my height being able to go 15 in. I can mount the subs vertical. So what I am thinking I would like to do, is basically build a box just like my present sealed one, but with the subs inside firing at each other, facing the middle of the box. I would put a piece of wood down the center of the port to prevent cancellation.

How am I doing on the wondering part?

remove the piece of wood and youre golden.

if its off by the slightest, it will cause you massive problems
