Who's right?

Ok, so last night, me and my friends Justin and Carl were bein dumb, doin stupid stuff. We were in the parking lot behind Justin's house, and Carl was driving. Justin jumped on the hood of Carl's car, and Carl started driving. At one point, Justin tried to fling himself off the hood and keep running, but he fell instead. He ****ed his face up and his shoulder pretty bad. We took him back to his house, and the first thing he did was go to sleep.

I kept tellin Carl that we needed to check on him and all he had to say was "lets give him an hour." Either way I went in and checked on him and he said "The **** are you talking about? I've been layin here takin a nap for the past 20 minutes" "Well what happened before that" "I dont ****in know go away im talkin a nap"

So I decided, that, since he couldn't ****in see, he was bleeding, and his arm was probly dislocated, that we needed to call an ambulance. So, I did that, and Carl agreed with me.

He got to the hospital and the doc decided that all he had was a minor concussion and some bad cuts. They cleaned him up and let him go.

Now Carl and Justin both are saying I overreacted and that all Justin needed was 2 hours of sleep without disturbance. The kid didn't remember what happened, and he was bleeding like crazy. Couldn't see either. I kinda figured that was worth an ambulance. Either way, Carl's pissed because he had to talk to a cop, and that's the only reason he didn't wanna go. I kinda figured a ****in life was worth more than gettin questioned by a cop.

Long as hell, but yeah, who was right? me for calling the ambulance or Carl for saying we should let him rest for an hour or two before doing anything?

meh, ive seen ppl come to the hospital for little cuts and assume they need to come in, so who knows.

your right for seeking medical attn but should have you called an ambulance NO you had the same ability to drive him yourself especially when an ambulance ride isnt cheap around 3-4 grand if you dont have insurance and if he does than they probably wont cover it since it was a non emergency/life threatening situation ... one thing anyone should know is you do not go to sleep after a concussion for a while obviously common since ...

Lol yeah they were ****in morons, I was yellin at them to get off the car, I knew that shit was gonna happen. I probably did overreact in calling an ambulance, but the kid had a seizure when he hit the ground, couldnt see, and couldnt remember anything. And all he wanted to do was sleep. I just remembered that that's how everything had gone when I broke my skull, and didn't wanna see him just lay in bed unattended. That's what pissed me off mainly, carl just said "give him some rest hell be ok" and didn't wanna do anything about it.

I'm sure they have the money to pay for it now, his mom has her own dental office and shit. She's gotta have some kind of health insurance. It just pisses me off that the only reason Carl's blaming me now is because he's in trouble with his parents/possibly the law for driving justin on the hood of his ****in car.

my last ambulance ride was $3,800+ and then one before was like $3000+ yes very very crazy expensive as is any other medical care just walk in the er with a head ache there goes $1,200 get an MRI or a CT and you can double or triple that number basic operations can be almost $15-$20,000 !! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

we have a nurse here who works his holidays in Arizona as a nurse and makes a ton more cash then he can here. Says its good and bad, i could never imagine nurses being treated the way he explains they are treated in America. Granted you are paying for services.

holy fawk never thought of it, i bet the life flight nurses make a ****ing fortune considering they make good money out here. Not too sure on the cost of a life flight here, but i know its several thousand im sure its only a fraction of the cost in america.

That's what I did, first thing I did was ask our good buddy nathan what he thought, he said if he was tryin to sleep we had to get him to a hospital, and carl agreed... but now he's pissed at me... Idk.

see, ours is "free" but we cannot walk into an emergancy and order an MRI because we feel like getting one, or a fully body CT.
we have a nurse here who works his holidays in Arizona as a nurse and makes a ton more cash then he can here. Says its good and bad, i could never imagine nurses being treated the way he explains they are treated in America. Granted you are paying for services.

nurses dont make as much back as your pay for services maby only like 5% my mothers a private dialysis nurse, the dialysis treatments cost about $80-$100,000 a month but she only makes around $10,000/month

they dont make 100 thousand a year here period. Atleast not without a ton of OT that is why he goes down to arizona every year to work. Works a regular full time shift and makes as much as he does working 7 days a week here.
