Who's heard of...

nice. so we are the same age. so i may know some of the people that you know. are you from blacksburg or are you from somewhere else and just claim youre from there because you go to school there?

From Hillsborough, NC originally - little west of Durham/Chapel Hill. Didn't go to Duke b/c I couldn't afford it (and they don't have anywhere near the technical programs I would want) and didn't go to UNC because everyone else from my HS went there. And the campus here blows away anything NC has to offer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

that works. yeah im from northern virginia so a lot of the people from my high school went to JMU Radford Tech UVA. and i was kind of like you and i headed north or what seems to me to be north I'm in west virginia and i hate it here its probably one of the most boring states in the US

granted the car environment doesnt equate to the home- a surround's lifespan would be indicative in the conditions it has to endure- heat, uv rays.....

So subsinfinity's cone materials are likely to crack like egg shells in hot climate weather -as their coaxes do mounted in the rear deck of a car through one hot summer- happened to me

Heh, I'm from Virginia Beach, all my HS kids went to UVA/Tech/Radford/JMU.. like 40% of 'em probably.. I decided to go to Xavier Univ. in New Orleans. Always nice to get away from home for awhile.

Oh btw, thread hijack. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

when I had the same kind of question...a guy explained to me once to run as fast as you can face first into a brick wall...the second time around you're not gonna be hitting that brick wall as hard as the first. hahaha i loved that one

like mentioned earlier older model speakers, even car audio, the surrounds weren't 'treated' so they can wear out...even without use. if they get wet or sit in extremely hot temps they corrode and disintigrate.

If you romp on speakers hard enough they start to get loose...they aren't as stiff as when you first get them. after a while they just get sloppy loose. Old superman oz subs have a habit of getting like that.
