Alright 2 days ago i was bumping my system ( not to high in volume) and listening to some reggae/punk while i was going to get a brand new phone i went inside the store and when i was done doing what i was doing.

i was leaving the parking lot, and my system was working fine for about 10 seconds and all of a sudden there was no sound, so i switched to the radio and my speakers started to make a high pitch scrambling staticky noise (i dont know if i should say static, but did sound like a scrambling noise like some shit out of the E.T. movie) my subs went off at the same time this started.

so i kept turning it off then back on and the samething kpt happening with the cd player (no sound) and switched it back to the radio and the scrambling would start again.

i pulled over to look at all my fuses, all fuses are fine, then i looked at the amp and the amp was not even turned on.

so i decided to go to my local car audio store that i was around, and i told them what happened and had them listen to the noise, and asked them what are my choices "and of the install guys siad "new deck! it sounds like the rca output is trying to put out on the deck but it cant. so your gonna have to get a new deck, cuz that one is screwed up"

i really dont want to buy a new deck, what do you guys think the problem is? is this guy right or is there a way to fix it? what should i be looking ofr ot fix the problem?

please help!!!

any help is very appreciated

if the amp isnt turned on, then the remote wire isnt working either, because the amp should trun on whether rca is in it or not, and the other i dont really know about the other stuff

If it was me, I would pull the deck out and run it off a 12VDC regulated bench supply, hooking it up to a spare set of speakers. If it works out of the car, you know where to look...if it's still ****ed, you know your problem.

Using a spare 12V deep cycle battery would get the same result. If you don't have any of these, take the deck out and take it to a shop, have them bench it.

i deleted your other thread, please post in one forum. this does not seem to be dead, and you have some people following it (who know their stuff).

i didnt read the thread, so i dont know whats going on. just wait a while and do your reasearch, and dont post two identicle threads in different forums.

thanks.
