What kind of commission do people get when they sell a car? What's usually the REAL markup on cars? You always see those fake invoices, and you know it's not true because no dealer would sell a car taking a hit.

Just kind of always wondered, anyone sell cars/bikes?

$50 a new car lol

You make your money off the plans you sell such as warranties and the likes.

Your real money comes from customers trade in vehicle.

If the value wholesale is $5000 and you negotiate the trade in for $2500 you get a percentage of the difference. IIRC where I worked was 50% of that and 50% goes to the car lot.

Its been many years since I have sold cars so things may have changed.

Used cars hmm... About 1-5k depending on car, lot, and stupidity of consumer. I saw my uncle sell a used 2004 corolla for $27k //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif and he only got it trade in for like 12-14k.
