Who Makes The Best Mono Amp??

I know everyone has their opinion, but i'm looking to redo my car audio piece by peice. So, on that note. I'm starting with the mono amp. For about $250 is their a really good one for my money??

used mtx 1501d's go for 250....Very Very reliable!!!!! And you can mod them for 1 ohm in about 10 minutes....non modded they do 1500 rms @ 2 ohm, modded they do roughly 1800rms ...They can go down to .5 ohm daily i beleive.....I play it safe and run mine at .67 ohm but with imp rise its exactly 1 ohm..

i dont know...but i dont want a ton of bass. I want something good...lets just put it like that. I'm not an audio expert so its hard for me to use your terminology, but I do play a lot of hip hop. i heard the more power the better, even if you dont use it, it makes the quality of the bass better.

Also I would look into http://www.zedaudio.com. The man behind the company is regarded as one of the best amp designers out there. They are all made in the states and really over built. The minilith can be had for your budget and isn't crazy powerful, which in your case would be a waste since you don't want a lot of bass. Have a look at his site and do some research on the company. I think its a GREAT buy.
