who is man enough?

isn't your 1911 sa only? mine is and with a scary light trigger! so it's cocked&lock and I don't care for the safety, the 92fs on the other hand is my baby it has a full on trigger job cryogenic 15lb recoil spring polish SS guide rod wolff INS lightweight trigger system and the beretta factory weight hammer D spring, so even with the da first pull it's only like 9.5 pounds and 4 pounds for SA with no creep at all just a nice crisp break.
I also carry a second 20rnd back up mag but I'm planning for the whole "stranded for days scenario" and I have no worry about my aim but there are gangs where I live and I like the thought of not having to re-load in the middle of a fire fight because if I'm pinned down behind something taking fire not every shot I fire is going to land in a vital spot, so I like having a bunch!
it is sa, but they wont fire from h/c. you have to pull the hammer back the rest of the way to fire. i trained myslf to do this on the draw. and i dont have gangs near me so im not worried

gotcha not nearly as scary to draw that way! I would think blowing your own foot off on the draw would really ****!

Look up the stories of Kennesaw, Georgia, where gun ownership was mandated compared to Morton Grove, Illinois. In the Illinois city, firearm ownership was completely banned.
Do some research on those two cities and then make a decision.
Yeah like I said, haven't done any research, just an opinion, and stating that if I were to make a decision it would have to be based on non analysed and un edited statistics. It's just a very weird concept to me, carrying a gun. But I do live in probably one of the safest towns in a very safe country, so I can see how it's entirely different over there. Our police officers don't even carry guns. To get a hand gun is it mandatory to first go through courses, and/or safety and shooting tests?

p.s. you guys have some sick guns, would love to take some of those to a firing range and learn to target shoot a pistol. I can shoot well with a rifle or shotgun (I'm the guy that no one believed about the amount of rabbits shot in one night if you recall) but definitely not with a pistol.

In order to carry a concealed pistol you need to take a course showing you have a basic understanding and level of skill with the weapon, but that's it. In some states open carry is allowed, where you can literally walk down the street with a loaded AK-47 sling over your shoulder and a pistol in a holster on your hip. Do a YouTube search for "open carry ak47". Something like that is pretty pointless, but it would be fun to see people's reactions.

But in order to own a weapon for home defense or hunting or anything where you are not concealing it, there are no permits or anything. It's our second amendment right to do so in this country.

Yep even with my ccw I still like open carry the permit just gives you a few more rights, like carrying a second mag or tossing your shirt over it when there's just too many children/parents around. A good sight to check out is opencarry.org they have really nice write ups on all the laws in effect and the ones to be changed.

I have shot my brother's 4" super black hawk. THe hogue grip tamed the sting pretty well.

Oklahoma just passed an open carry lay that will take affect in November. You will have to have a concealed permit to do so. I think it is a good idea not so much in that people need to carry their guns on their hip, but to save people from getting weapons charges for printing.

I think it is federal law that you have to 18 and not a felon to buy a rifle and 21 to buy a handgun.
