blaugh!!!!
PICS BELOW!! I just had surgery for an umbilical hernia on Wed. They did a laproscopic procedure...Had to put 7 frickin holes in my stomach... One on each side of my belly button, then 3 on my left side for the tools, air, and scope!!!

Here I am.. 6 days later... still layed up on the couch for the most part... gettin a little better every day, but it still hurts to walk upright. Bending to the side to wipe my *** hurts to...mainly on the right side.

I felt it directly above my belly button though... didnt think they'd have to make all these holes, but the Doc said it was a decent size.

I'm just wondering if anyone has had one, and how long you were hurting for. It will probably be another 3-4 days before I can even drive. Please tell your story

yea they did a typical prodecure on you then... thats when they do 1 big cut...its more traditional. I dunno how old you are but the laproscopic is....somewhat newer. Heals quicker...they put a bunch of little holes vs. 1 big one so they don't have to tear through muscles n crap.

i had hernia surgery last june. i am 21 years old. i healed in about 2 days, well enough to drive and walk. wiping my *** always hurt though. they did the one big cut, and fixed it. i had where my intestine fell into my scrotum, so i basically had a third testicle. yea, that was a rough time. good settlement check is on the way though.

2 days.. wow... MUCH better than im doin so far... I still can't sleep on my side.. on day 6 here now.

check is covered by insurance...

yea i had mine for at least 4 months before i got it looked at. thought it could have just been a cyst. a little pain here and there, coming and going. but thats why you get a settlement check for diminished capacity. the pain never fully goes away. youll always feel it form time to time, real real small amounts, barely enough to notice.

guy i bowl with had hernia surgery like 3 weeks ago and he still cant laugh or strain at all. doctor wont let him pick anything up for 5 more weeks.

hahah yea SM thats what i wud do with my hernia, push it in and out of the hole. that never really hurt. im a healthy person, so 2 days after i was walking and driving, but sleeping on my side was a big no no, excrutiating pain, even sometimes still.

*** with never be the same for you when shes on top now. shell start rubbing on those cuts and it starting stinging after a bit.

EDIT: i forgot you had umbillical hernia surgery, still, it might hurt a bit.
