Who Here Collects Cards?

nice collection man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

like i said thats just a sample of some of the cards i have. probably only have about 100 or so. but they are all in great condition. one of these days i think im gonna get around to scanning them all and organizing them by team/year

Cards are useless now, I have 5 or 6 Al Kaline 54 rookie cards (topps I believe) i'd let them go for 150 each if anyone wants them, all in protective cases, none are graded though.

book means absolutely nothing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif I hope you dont buy carsd as an investment //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

if book means nothing, how does one put a pricetag on cards? I know that will not get list price for the card, ungraded

you know what, go to Ebay man....check how much this card goes for, graded and ungraded (show prices are almost twice of what Ebay sells for)

BTW: I bought this card for $35...graded BGS 9.5 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I buy em for cheap...sell em for profit.

I made pretty good money in shows and on Ebay with my cards....so HA!

i dont have that lebron, but a bunch others. i do have a 90 donruss and a 90 topps sammy sosa rookie from the white sox. none from his rangers days. also an 88 mcgwire rookie record breakers card. oldest card is like a 62 topps no name guy. it came as a bonus insert in a pack.

i know the trend of cards has gone to crap, but i am hoping that the trend will come back around. production numbers are so low now, that todays cards will be worth much more if that happens.

and i went to a shop when i first started gettin lebrons and they had one rookie and it was from the upper deck gimmic set and they wanted $20 for it! they go for $0.01 + ship on ebay. THAT means there can be a profit in cards if you know what you are doing.

and im always looking for more lebron rookies. also any jordans, david robinsons, or anything old, rare, autographed, or rookies!

it does to a degree cause it costs money to grade a card. most poeple that collect are young and cant afford to get the card graded. then people tell them the card is worthless.

having said that, i still dont get what kids see in this gay yugioh ********. it makes me want to kill myself.

between that and labor disagreements in sports, the card industry blows now.

Magic: The Gathering cards led to Pokemon cards...which led to Yu-Gi-Oh

x5 ftw?

Not my card, but we've got 5 of those (used to have 7) all in mint condition, I would assume all 8+ if they were graded. Plus countless sets of hockey cards. I know my dad was working on a collection of old school Canadiens cards. Like 1950s ish.
