who has the most power going to subs in a daily driver set up here??

just curious what your friends think. I have 1000 rms and soon will have 1500 rms and my friends look at me like i'm crazy. Just wondering who has the most power going to their subs. Is there any power level that is considered too much for a daily driver? funny thing is at one point i convinced myself i don't need more than 500 rms for subs but now i'm up to 1500 rms. i got two jbl 1200.1 bridged on a pair of hifonics 12" atlas and the volume does not go below 15 when i drive...

you prolly wont notice the difference between 1000 and 1500. if your upgradeing you gotta doubble power (2000) for a 3db gain!! i know its crazy but thats physics. im running about 2500 on 2 x 12s its well worth it.

Be weary of any response you get from this thread. People automatically assume they are getting the rated RMS on their amplifiers. When in reality they are more likely getting 30% of it...

Im running about ~1400 RMS. Orion 1200d Rated 1200 Watts at 13.5V. My truck ideling sits at 15VDC. so I dont want to do the math, but its anywhere from 1300-1400. So on music anywhere from 700-1400

LOler probably not. Any electrical upgrades? Tested with a clamp maybe?

250 Amp HO alt Regulator set at 15 V., 2 runs of 1/0, dual batteries (red top up front and G31 optima out back)...and yes I have a shop and have used a clamp on this setup. albiet 1400 was on test tone materieal.

Impedance rise could make you feel really bad if you're never clamped your amps before...

Oh sorry I forgot to make something clear. The orion 1200d was at .5 ohms when I got the 1400 Reading (set of type R 12s we had at the shop). I got up to 1.3 or so ohms with the rise.

my orion 2500d is at .5 ohm also with all power wire in 2/0 gauge wire big three in 2/0 also, optima red top under hood and trunk, also 200amp alty
