Who has a 18" BTL?

Who's got a 18" BTL right now?

If you do, can you please answer the following...

*whats amp is driving it.

*what are the box specs (port area, size, tuning, etc.)

My amp will be a Planet Audio VX-2200D thats birthsheet says 2257rms @ 1 ohm.

My box I plan to do is 7.5 cubes, 31hz with 125sq.in. of port.

It's in a blazer and I'm doing sub up and port back.

I have four Sundown Audio SAZ-1500Ds powering my two fully-loaded 18" Fi BTLs in a ~12 cubes tuned to 30hz.

I had one 20.1 powering one 18" BTL in 10 cubes tuned to 30hz, that wanged as well.

I had a sx. But i also had two mts. I love 18s. O im going to have a memphis 4kd going to both of them..maye 2 4kds if money and power permits.

So you had a SX(s) before the BTLs?

I did a swap with the SX and BTL... the BTL is a gazillion times louder in the same box (double the power though)

Yeah dude i swear we almost get the same setups each time i had a sx 18 with a oriuon 1200d and i believe you did as well. My sx got **** loud though.

Hahaha, yeah, SX 18 with Orion 1200D... swapped with BTL 18 and 20.1

kenny, have you ever tried smaller drivers?

i'd like to know how an 18" up firing in a huge box would compare with two 12's rear firing in a smaller box.

Wanting more bass is soo addictive, Do you think I will be happy with the way the BTL performs with only feeding it 2250rms? With this amount of power should I make the box bigger, correct me if I'm wrong, but doesnt a bigger box allow the woofer to have more excursion?

Kenny how much port area did you have when you had that single BTL running off of the 20.1?

What's the advantage of more port area? or dissadvantage if you have too much?
