Who else is as excited for this phone as I am?

CNet is a CBS production. Hardly a reliable source. Find an unbiased ranking.

See now your putting words in my mouth. I never once said anything about HTC in this thread ever. You can play it off like your not biased, but you said yourself that the phones rose up past your expectations. Thats putting your bias into the matter.
Sorry, I got you mixed up with Orangecounty1. I apologize for that. I'm guessing it had something to do with the fact that you always talk about how much you love your Incredible lol

My expectations were set upon past experiences that were not good with those companies. I gave them a chance, and continued to try them out as time went on. The experience and reliability of these companies increased exponentially as time went on. There's no bias involved in that.

Check out the Motorola Droid Bionic...sounds like its going to be one of the fastest running phones when they release it...
Motorola Droid Bionic Review - Watch CNET's Video Review
The Droid Bionic is nearly the exact same as the Atrix for AT&T. The Bionic has an 8mp camera and a 4.3" screen, whereas the Atrix has a 5mp and a 4" screen. Also, the Atrix has 512mb more of RAM, and the webtop functionality that allows it to sync up with a monitor or the laptop accessory. In other words, unless .3" of screen and 3mp of camera matter to you, the Atrix is better, and it has been out for almost 3 months.

Regardless, it's going to be just as laggy as the Atrix, if not more (given its lack of RAM compared to the Atrix).

If I were on Verizon, I'd pick the Droid Charge or Thunderbolt over the Bionic, and the Bionic hasn't even been released yet!

I mess around quite a bit on a buddies Galaxy S1 and is pretty sweet, gets 4g here, which is super fast......

Just I know from past experiences as far as phones goes, Samsung *****! CS is a joke and they never do OS updates. You basically have to purchase a new phone, which is gonna usually be a year or so later, which is okay for most people. Just not the diehard techies out there.

Myself, I am still a crackberry at heart. So sticking to BB and eventually QNX in 2012.....may even get an 0s7 BB this year.

I'm hoping you're talking about the Galaxy S 4G for T-Mo? Cuz the rest of the Galaxy S phones, until the Nexus 4G hits Sprint, aren't 4G...

I HATE my Bold 9700. It bogs down whenever I try to multitask, freezes constantly, tons of glitches, the battery goes from hero to zero after 6 months, and the web browser is ABYSMAL. The Torch is better, but not by much. I see no reason to own a Blackberry over iPhone/Android.

Yes sir, that is the one. Is a slick arse phone. Thought it was the 1st one, maybe I am mistaken. I was shocked when I seen the 4g pop up! I was like I didnt think 4g was in our smallish town, more so big cities....well, I was wrong! Not the first and not the last time, lol!

Yeah, you keep mentioning that about your 9700. I haven had one issue with mine in the close to 2 years I have had mine. I mean yes, I have to do Battery pulls every few days and I do get the clock. However that is more-so due to the fact I am running os6 on it, when it really isnt ment for it.

Been a solid phone. Actually the best phone I have had to date. I have older Andriods in the Nexus 1, Cliq, Mytouch3g and Optimus T(Sold all minus N1.) and used many others due to either a friend having one of someone in the family. I love the browsing experience, but the buck stops there......as far as communicating, nothing does it better than my BB, from call quality, UMA, typing, multi-tasking.....just works! Had way to many issues with my Androids from hardware to software.

Mark it, QNX software on phones with TAT will change BB forever for the better....still have the business sense with consumer ability to please everyone. Gonna be sick!

Really want the new BB bold touch that is coming out. No funds right now though...

I love the Galaxy S 4G! One of the best, if not the best phone for sale atm. HSPA+ is more available than LTE right now, it's just an extended version of HSPA

Mine isn't even running OS6...

How can you love the browsing experience? It's so unbelievably slow and cumbersome. And the multitasking just bogs it down to a snail pace. I love that it can do it, but I hate how slow it gets when you do.

What I notice is that people don't usually hate the Android software, they hate the hardware. A lot of people buy cheap Android phones and wonder why they are so terrible. Some also buy expensive ones from Motorola or LG and wonder why they are terrible. Those people always fall to Apple. There's only one iPhone, and 4 versions of it. If they don't like it, it could definitely be because of the software.

The way I see it, there's only one way to hate Android, from a non-biased standpoint...If you can't stand customizing your phone or spending time tweaking it to your tastes and instead want something that limits the usability and dumbs it down, Android is not for you. Otherwise, Android is the way to go. It leaves you with everything you want, and lets you shape it the way you like.

I must be in a different boat as I couldnt stand the software of Android and actually like a lot of the hardware aspects of so many different types of phones from different companies, some good, some bad....PS, I like to customize.....hence 0s6 on my BB....

I went through 2 mytouches, 2 cliq's and that left a bad taste in my mouth, granted my N1 was solid...so was the Optimus T...so seems hit and miss, just like a lot of BB's...Most people are really happy with their 9700's, but get the few that have bad devices rather software or hardware. Just a situation with mass produced items...

I may try Android again, but probably not anytime soon due to these tiered plans coming out and especially if this merger/buyout of Tmobile goes through, which will ****! I hated ATT when I had them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

As far as browsing goes. If I am on 3G or UMA/Wifi it flies. I honestly dont see much of a difference from my buddies 4G. EDGE, which I get a lot of is slower, but not to the poing it renders the phone useless. We are talking mere seconds difference....now streaming vids/youtube...yeah, much faster on 3G/4G.....full websites, mere seconds though.

Maybe something is wrong with your phone? Or better yet could be the craptastic network? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Verizon here I come....if it goes through.

Yeah, the Mytouches and especially the Cliq's were the unreliable variety. I know that I got a lemon 9700, but even while it works well its pointless.

The good news is that AT&T guarantees you will be able to keep your T-Mo plan if the merger goes through. However, they have yet to mention what happens when that T-Mo contract ends...

My 9700 internet is slower than my Palm Pre was on Sprint, and AT&T is faster here than Sprint. My buddy had the upgraded Palm Pre Plus on AT&T and a 3GS, he said the 3GS was faster. Obviously, the Galaxy S II will be faster than the 3GS. The 9700 is unbelievably slow.

Verizon is great for their network. Their phones are overpriced and their customer service is terrible, though. But if you want the most reliable and fastest network (at the moment), Verizon is the way to go. I will say they have a great variety of Android devices, especially with the new Thunderbolt and Charge.
