Id rather have a quality phone than just base it on specs. If its slow in a month because of their "tweaks" to the Android OS then all the hardware in the world doesnt matter making your phone useless. Id rather buy an out dated phone thats known to provide awesome results.Same. But I LOVED the Captivate, but it only matched the competition when it came out. The Galaxy S II is going to murder the competition when it comes out.
The previous Galaxy S was probably the single most reliable smartphone we have ever carried. I don't see why you think this phone is going to be unreliable?Id rather have a quality phone than just base it on specs. We have just learned that the Samsung Galaxy S II i9100 Android 2.3 Gingerbread Smartphone will be released at the beginning of May 2011. The 16GB version will be priced at $820USD, while the 32GB will cost $949. This information has been acquired from popular online electronic retailer Clove.

Given Samsung's track record its going to be a piece of garbage that you spend loads of cash on for no good reason. The previous Galaxy S was probably the single most reliable smartphone we have ever carried. I don't see why you think this phone is going to be unreliable?

Idk how you could say that when I just told you that the previous Galaxy S phones were the most reliable smartphones we carried! Sure, the phones before that were decent at best, but I don't think it's fair to say they have a "bad" track record. Motorola does, LG does. Not Samsung. HTC DID, but like Samsung, they changed face when they went Android. Both manufacturers build excellent phones. LG's have great materials in their phones, but they haven't proved reliable as far as software goes. Motorola innovates with technology, but falls victim to the same issue as LG. There were two main issues with the the previous Galaxy S phones, and those were the GPS locator and the forced power-off at 80%. The GPS couldn't be fixed, the but power-off issue was fixed with Device Alive. No phone is perfect, but that line of phones was as close as perfect when it comes to reliability as they get.Given Samsung's track record its going to be a piece of garbage that you spend loads of cash on for no good reason.
A single good phone in their entire line up definitely makes them a top notch company. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gifIdk how you could say that when I just told you that the previous Galaxy S phones were the most reliable smartphones we carried! HTC is no different...They've made 2 different good phones (platforms). The Aria/Incredible, and the Evo/Inspire/T-bolt, etc. Otherwise, their phones have SUCKED. We used to hate HTC for that reason. Now we love them. Same goes for Samsung!A single good phone in their entire line up definitely makes them a top notch company. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif
Besides not really sure where your experience makes Samsung a great company. More people had negative experiences than positive. Thats much more conclusive than a single view point.
The epic is good, but I hate how bulky it is. It's a brick.I just switched to sprint 2 weeks ago, I have the samsung epic 4g. Overclocked to 1.3ghz, rooted, new rom etc... I love it. (12 hrs 45 mins unplugged with 50% battery left the other day) I have 60 days to switch phones if im not happy, well see what the price is on this galaxy II and if its not too bad ill get it. Hoping that the phone comes out at the beginning of june.
