Who else is as excited for this phone as I am?

Ive never been impressed with anything Samsung other than some of their high end TV's. Their stuff always seems to be made cheaply.

Who knows? Only time will tell on this one.

nice phone. i love android. never will own another OS phone other than android lol.

however, i prefer HTC over any other brand of android devices. idk why, i just do. i prefer motorola over the samsungs too. but thats still a ****** phone.

I agree

Everyone Samsung phone I have owned has had issues and Samsung doesn't do software updates, they just make a new phone.

They always look nice, but after a month or so they are slow and/or dont make calls

In four years of selling phones, the only brand that has had a lot of flops is Samsung. Don't get me wrong, I love several of their phones (like the Fascinate, for instance) but they have a history- with me at least- of putting out phones that are just massive failures. For example, I've sold the Sway, Rogue, and Alias 2 and roughly 40-50% of the ones my store sold came back within 6 months, each with the same problem.

I'm not saying this phone will be one of the flops, but I'd wait at least a month or two in case some problems come to light. Hopefully it's all that the review says it is with no surprises.

Whats so different from any other Android? I didnt feel like reading hahaha
Looks like another phone that makes calls and has apps. Also a camera. Woopdee Doo

Yeah. To be honest' date=' I am most impressed with the lack of delay, lag, etc. from just general use. That's my main gripe with the Atrix. Watching the second video of him playing around with it, I noticed maybe two different millisecond stutters in that whole 7 minute video. Everything loaded extremely fast (all the apps), navigation was seamless.
Add on to that possibly the best phone camera/videocamera, the thinnest waist (in american, there is one international phone that is thinner), the best looking screen, 4.3" of real estate, HSPA+ compatibility, and the best processor and most ram of any phone on the market...[/quote']

Same. But I LOVED the Captivate, but it only matched the competition when it came out. The Galaxy S II is going to murder the competition when it comes out.

Definitely HTC build quality > all. But that's just because of their use of metals. Motorola's currently suck. Samsung has come a long way. Their new phones are going to make people reconsider their opinions on their brand, including the new Galaxy tab.

I personally stick to HTC just because of the Sense UI. The proprietary UI that Samsung uses doesnt suit me as well. My phone sails along with the snapdragon and has more than enough memory to do what I want so Ill probably stick with it. Gingerbread is what I really want. People complain about Samsung not upgrading to 2.3 or whatever, but neither does HTC or Motorola. Its mostly because of the UIs but thats what happens with your Open Source OS, nobody is obligated. I like to root and rom anyway.

That being said the Galaxy S phones are pretty nice, super light too. Cant complain about the AMOLED screens either, but I pretty much go for the sense.

I actually have no issues with any of the UI's, even Motoblur.
