who else has sound loss when subs are cold/sit

I have noticed for the most part all the subs I have used (12's seem to do it a bit worse, could be my imagination though)have had a good amount of sound loss in cold weather. Sometimes as much as 75 percent depending on how old it is. And I have to play 3 to 15 mins of hard bass through them to get them back to full volume. Also when they sit for a while the same thing happens. Who all has noticed this and how much did you loose. I am sure it has to do with the suspension being stiffer when cold and have to stretch it... But why when it sits does it need played for a while before it gets back to full volume. What variable would cause the suspension to get stiff

It probably has something to do with their sensitivity ratings. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
How would their sensitivity rating change how the cold affects them?
Like the OP said, its stiff suspension due to the cold. Passing current thru the speaker for a few minutes warms it up and compliance becomes normal.

A speaker just sitting for a period of time should not experience this phenonmenon. Id chalk that up to some other issue, or simply imagination getting the better of you. Even suspension 'sag' from sitting a long period of time shouldn't really cause this.

Ehh said seems like it. What is OP original poster? I could be wrong lol. And I think brian was saying that cause I think he is the one I was debating with on if sens meant jack lol he was trying to be funny
