another small top plate on my treo ssx 18. so i guess treo doesnt know what they are doing either.
#1. tc sounds and dd.. thats 2.. in american math at least:confused:

#2.doesnt show me to be an idiot.. i never said anything close to "a small topplate makes a bad sub" i stated the truth. andrew adassa knows little (if anything) about speaker design and construction.

I'm still wondering whats up with the cheap *** aluminum tape covering up the magnet stack. Looks like shit especially with the wrinkles and bubbles in it....
chrome=the louder:D look at that tacky *** basket //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif it does look terrible! overall.. teh sub looks cheaply built..

the only thing im in disagreement with is judging the sub by the paint job alone.

i personally like the way it looks.

granted its all a matter of opinion anyway.

(im not taking sides either way, just watching this play out)

no its just a sticker to cover the motor so it doesnt get chipped or scratched during shipping. its not for style or anything. they dont have a rubber boot for that size of a motor.

tc sounds. baskets, cones, etc. thilo designed/tooled the ti and la frames, and they designed there cones. they tooled there spiders as well. deedeee. that stupid new basket. a few others:) again- try again hank

thats 1 so in my american math that equals 1 in every aspect.

So i'm guessing you actually take that off before installing?

At least I HOPE so? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

If so, at least that actually makes SOME sense. Though anything that could actually chip or scratch a solid hunk of magnet could probably easily jack up that aluminum tape as well. Basically it's exercise in futility.

i wanna know a sub company that melts thier own copper for the coils. make the bolts for the basket. makes thier own wire for the tensil leads. ect.... u better specify ground up. because i know companies that tool thier own stuff too. but they dont make everything.
I want to know why these things would be important. There are very few companies that produce VCs...infact I can only count 2 maybe 3. The difference here is making a phone call to china and saying "I want this this and this" or doing what TC, DD (resonance),Fi, SJA, etc do...where they for the mostpart tool their motors from the ground up...aside from actually making the ceramic slugs. Building subs from the ground up doesn't have to mean that a company does EVERYTHING in house...
