Hardly. We have bountiful natural and human resources here, we are a net exporter of food, have ample water, and control the resources to be energy independent if needed. What do we risk losing really? Cheap slave made goods from third world sweatshops? We made all those things here and better not long ago. Some luxury goods from abroad? Really? Just step back and think about what you just wrote. A handful of cotton and tobacco farmers didn't build our nation I can assure you. Those were important regional industries certainly but in absence of Africans they'd have made do just fine (as the factories in the north did) with European laborers. If you actually research the conditions of factories during the industrial revolution you'd find that that form of labor was even cheaper than slavery. If factory worker loses an arm they're out of a job starving, if a slave is maimed you still take care of him for the rest of his or her life, and the standard of living, work hours, and general quality of life was horrendous before the advent of unions.
