I dont like the guy but he does get sh*t done efficiently. Way too efficient in business terms. Hillary spent WAAAAY more money (1.3 billion dollars vs his 800 mill) and failed hard due to incompetence with how the campaign was ran. If she cant even win a campaign where she basically has an overwhelming advantage with way more money and support, imagine the state of the country if she actually runs it. ABSOLUTE FAILURE. I dont know about you but I dont give a FK about what they say as long as our economy grows, the president is doing a good job. THAT is a big if. IF we go into another recession we'll have a lynching party but only time will tell.

Unfortunately a setting presidents policy's have economic repercussions that rarely show up while there in office. The economy grew like crazy while Bill Clinton was in office, but it really had almost nothing to do with him.

The next economic crash/ rescission is coming and it doesn't matter who's in office. Our debt going to be a big factor in the coming market correction which can make it a big one. I can't really put that on just one president, but if Trump keeps adding to the debt...

Economic boom and bust cycles are almost entirely dependent on money supply. Those who control the monopoly on credit/money creation have the ultimate control over these cycles, they're not people for whom we vote, and they are accountable to nobody but themselves.

Boom and bust cycles have been cyclical over time, i dont foresee that changing.

As far as a Canadian bashing our country.... even with the poorest candidate from our primary pools (whoever that may have been), we would still be the greatest nation.

We are far from perfect, but the notion that any single candidate would remove us from superpower status is laughable.

Of course the rest of Qubec is nothing compared to Montreal but the countryside is pretty awesome as well. As a dirtbiker i can say that Quebec is f*cking awesome ! Nothing compared to those Cali sand dunes though, man that sh*t was the crazyiest thing i've ridden in my whole life ! Would go back there again for sure !

I really don't get why people would leave their homeland cuz of a stupid new president. Every president, every government are piece of crap. When that crazy warhead Bush was president, nobody ever thought of leaving the country ! Trump is dumb but Bush was dangerous.

It's all money supply. That's precisely the pitch of central banks and other central planned economy theorists.

Apart from unusual events like large scale war, great and rapid advances in technology, or natural disaster, I'd be interested to hear any other theories on how these are caused. Bear in mind most taxation is just the opposite end of money creation, destroying money and somewhat hiding the inflationary nature of the fiat currency.

Our system of government is just fine. Our track records of accomplishment testify to that. I'd agree it has been heavily infiltrated and subverted, but that's another matter and it doesn't diminish the greatness of what we have done and what yet still may be accomplished.

Just how do you suppose the president can do this? You can read our Constitution in less than an hour and it's in plain black and white what the presidential powers are. My point is only that one, we don't care what you all think of us, mind your own business, and two, presidential elections are more or less inconsequential, we'll get more or less business as usual. Our system of government isn't a monarchy, and no one person (at least in the public eye) has that much power. I know it's hard to explain to folks with kings and queens on their money, but really it doesn't work like that here.
