Which would do me better? L7s or MT

Ive decided to stay with two 15" L7s and upgrade in the future. I was wondering though which sub(s) would perform better in my situation...I only have one HCCA D5000 to power the subs. Which would offer more SPL???

1. Two 15" L7s, HCCA D5000, tuned to 35hz

2. 18" MT, HCCA D5000, tuned at 35hz

People have told me the L7s would get louder but then I also have a group of people telling me the MT...im not sure if it would be a big difference since the only difference would be an extra 500watts for daily driving.
