Which would be louder, and which would have more Sq?

1 RE SE 12"

or

2 DD 1508's

Both would be running off 1000w(500w each for the DD's, 1000w for RE)

Depends on enclosure really..

I'd personally run the SE 12. SE can be loud when you want it too and retains its SQ doing it. And they are fair priced around $100-$120 brand new.

I have a SE now lol, but its box is fairly large. I was only thinking of 8's cause of the tiny boxes they fit in... but yeah the Se's sound amazing for the price.

Well, it's not like the 1508's are outrageously priced. Just buy a couple or find people who have experiences with them musically. But I've had experience with the SE 12" and I loved it, one of my favorite all time drivers.

I've only ever used the 1008a DD and its a totally different woofer..

Depends on what ur looking for if ur looking for spl go with the dd's if you are lookiing for more sql soun and more low end extension stick with the SE...
