Which woud be louder?

is there any possible way to run 2 dvc 2ohm subs at 1ohm? this is where i f*d up, i was new, my dad said that i could do that, but apparently i cant? they sound fine, but im confused now as to what ohms im running them at, im guessing 2 ohms, so back to the question, is there any way? if not, i might try to sell my amp and get 2 amps that do 1000-1500 at 1ohm each, they would have to be pretty cheap though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
You're stuck with 2ohm or .5 load parallel, or an 8ohm load series. The only way to get down to 1 ohm is change the load of each coil (recone), sorry.

every company is like that, power handling does NOT mean inefficiency. I don't know how that stupid rumor got started but it is wrong and always will be.2ohms or .5ohms
A person is smart. People are dumb, scared and ignorant. Someone starts a (seemingly intelligent) rumour, and it spreads like wildfire.

the reason companies have smaller lower lines is not every body wants to spend 800 on a subwoofer. I'd just get another amplifier and run both subs you already have.
My point is, if you make a higher handling woofer that's actually more efficient than your entry level sub; you're doing something wrong. They should either work to make the entry level sub more efficient, or scrap that line in order to cut the cost of producing the higher level subs. That goes for any company that a high end speaker is more efficient on low power vs said company's low end speaker.

99.99% large motored subs are more efficient then smaller motored. Very few small motored subs can compare

If it was up to me, i would just sell my amp and buy two amps that do 1500 at 1ohm, but my dad pisses me off so much because he wont let me spend my money on anything any more after i spent all this on everything else. So idk, ill leave it as is. But i might just get my friend to sell my amp and buy the others, and then just surprise my dad when i show him two different amps, he wouldnt care, he will just tell me im wasting my money and that hes done with me, but then he gets over it

Is there anything wrong with getting two amps that each do 1500watts at 1ohm? and i doubt my electrical can keep up, but i probably wouldnt turn it up to the point that it is dangerously bad, and if anything happens i can just get a larger or a second battery, and im 17

ive been looking at getting two MB Quart ONX1.1500Ds they seem decent, and they have a great price, only about 180-200 each, so im thinkin i could sell my amp for somewhere around 300 and get two of those for around 350-400, so i actually spend around 100 and go from 1300watts total to 3000watts total, that sounds pretty good to me:D

HAha.. Add in a $500 for a alternator and $300 for batteries and $200 for cable. Does it still sound like a good deal?

well luckily i have my battery in my trunk, so a couple runs of 4 gauge for my current amp only cost me about 30, plus i probably got a good deal cause i go to a local shop that is actually legit and not one of those ones thats just out to make a quick buck, i only drop to 11.3 at the lowest, and that has only happened once, how low would it drop with the extra watts? i can see upgrading the battery(s) definitely but idk about an alternator, im not looking for 14 volts, just close to 12
