Which Wires for BX1500d

I bought a 4 gauge wiring kit for my Hifonics BX1500d. Someone said it'd be ok with a distribution block in a different thread. What would this do, what do they mean? i mean, i have RCA wires from my old wiring kit, and i have remote wire and such. should i just buy some 2 gauge power wire and ground wire? what kind of fuse holder should i get?

they are saying... run 0 gauge throughout your car and then in the trunk make 0 gauge wire into the size of a 4 gauge... or connect a 0 gauge wire to a 4 gauge wire.

oh yeah, do i need a stronger fuse than the 80 amp one my kit comes with?
Hard to say, It might work, if it doesnt the worst that is going to happen is that its going to pop. No biggie just get a bigger one if it does. Most fuses can handle 2x their rating for like 5 seconds I think, which would work out unless your using bass tones alot. For music I think you should be fine with 4 gauge and the 80amp fuse.

I'm not liking the... 'wire could melt' lol. i mean, it's gunna be really hard to wire a galant with 0 gauge, where the hell am i puttin the wires? there was no detectable hole in the firewall so we had to run it thru the hood to the inside... thru the door etc...

I have a 4runner, I ended up running my wire under the body with some brackets holding it, then through a grommet under my carpet in the cargo area. worked out good.

-4 gauge with that amp will be FINE!!!

go with larger wire if you think you will ever upgrade to another amp, or add a second amp. I ran my brutus HARD with 4gauge wire, no meltage, I was just saying if you go way over what the wire can handle and put too high of an amperage fuse it might melt the wire. That is the point of the inline fuse, is to protect the wire in case of shorts, so if you put a 400amp fuse in the holder with 4 gauge wire, that could be a problem. There is a chart online or floating in the forums with length of wire to what it can handle......
