I have a friend who is running a 3000 with just a kinetik 2400 in his saturn lol... It gets stupid loud but then again he has no volt meter to see what its dropping to...

Well you are asking the wrong question in a sense. Should be asking which amp is more efficient... If efficiency is the same on both amps more current equals more wattage

I would think they would be close, and I would prefer 1 big amp. Pricing new is the same.

As far as electrical.... I ran an XX Goliath @ .5 w/ stock 90a alty and 2 G31 yellowtops in the rear. voltage never dropped below 12.5ish full tilt.

Its recommended to have a 300a alt and at least one large batt such as a Powermaster D3100.

why dont you get a mmats d3500.1 its 2700 wrms @ 1 ohm and its very efficien and not a power hogger like most of those amps and its very underated, for burps drop it to .25 ohms and it'll walk all over that sundown

beautiful, i will be picking up a 3000d come wednesday, and then work on the electrical from there. it wont be installed till the electrical is up to par, but hopefully i will have a d3100 soon maybe 2 if i get lucky. cant wait for this next install. it will be my first time running aero's, this much power, and this much power in a trunked car. pretty excited.

x2, i guess i have never heard of input stage in all my years on here. and everything you ever wanna know about car audio can be found by someone on here. most likely helotaxi...or older threads. can you please explain input stage.

well i agree, but when i installed in my truck i yanked out the back seat and threw a 12 cube box in there with 2 15" btl's tuned to 34 hz off 4500 watts and that wanged pretty hard. but i also could only ride 3 passengers. im pretty excited to get back into a trunked car. just want it to get sily loud
