i drive a 97 chevy with bucket seats, and im wanting to put 1-2 8's in a console box.
Only problem with that is that 1, I doubt I can fit 2 8's in there (ported) and 2, I don't know what to go with. I've kinda been out of the forums for a few months and apparently you can't get the rli 8's anymore, i've been looking at the 1508's but im not sure if they'll give me the sq im looking for.
I listen to rap and rock, but don't need anything thats going to make my ears bleed (im kinda out of that phase) so im pretty sure that if I could find an 8 that would give me 1, accurate bass response and 2, an all around good thump in a small amount of space (.8-1 ft^3 ported) I could be happy.
By "good thump" im not referring to flexxing panels and windows, I just want something that doesn't sound weak, is surprising for an 8" sub and can produce good sq (going for 70/30 sq/spl)
The amp is going to be an orion 1200d (1200 @ 1 ohm, 725 @ 2 ohms, 425 @ 4 ohms) and im also going to be gutting the interior and deadening the doors and floor with second skin.
