Identify these subs?

A local guy on craigslist is selling these subs for $100. He claims them to be Rockford Fosgate Series 1 and handle 1000Watts. He also says they are 18" and has been using them on and off since 1992. What are they? Did RF even make an 18" in 1992?

you can see "series 1" on the dustcap...those are some old moofas.

Are they really 18's? Are they any good? I couldn't find any info on Series 1 18"s on the internet.

They are the old Punch Series 1's, good for about 400 true rms.

Had some in an RX-7, i think they were single 4ohm coils also

I found the datasheet on the RF website...

Says they are 200 watts RMS, sounds good to me. If they are in good condition I'm going to buy them. Thanks for all the help guys. I am going to try to jew him down to $80 for both and put them in my 240SX (somehow). My $7 Alphasonik amp and Blue Thunder Sub are alright, but the Blue Thunder bottoms out when you put like 100 watts to it. I'm probably going to put the blue thunder in my room and run some door speakers off the Alphasonik.

I ran mine off of a series VII Thor, with 3 cubes per sub in a sealed box. They needed more cubes, just didnt have the room. 1st generation RX-7 was small.

I still have one of those but a 12 in my parents' basement I think. I blew it back in 96 and left it there, lol. It was collecting dust for quite some time. Wonder if it ever got thrown out.......
