Which way to fire subwoofers

Of course firing forward like that wont get you loud, hell its negative bass, you are in cancellation hell. Wall style means you seal off EVERYTHING letting zero air pressure and sound escape to the back area. If you dont do that then its just gonna be garbage. If you do seal it off, it'll be louder than how you have it currently by far but if thats not your thing then how you have it is fine. You always want the port firing farthest away from where the listener is with a normal ported box.
Yes... almost nobody is willing to do the work that's needed to seal off a trunk properly... lol... to do it correctly, it CAN get a little involved... this guy did a pretty good job!

I have always fired my sealed boxes to the rear of my suv. I tried every position possible but nothing compared to firing to the back. I'm having a ported box made and the guy wants to fire them up, port back. We'll see i guess.
