Which tweeter?? Silk or Titanium

OK guys, i think i know what i am going to be getting! The CDT Cl-62i's and then get the extra "imaging system" But im kind of baffled on what tweeter i should get, I had a set of cheapo kenwood tweets in my truck and i loved how tingy they sounded, especially with some rap songs and some rock guitar solo's. But i never had them amped just runnin off my H/U. So will metal tweets be way to harsh or will the Silks be plenty loud and "tingy" especially because they will be amped?? Also will the fact that im adding another pair to the dash help brighten up the tweets? I like the way my dads CDT CL61's sound and they only have like 90 watts running to them. Im planin on havin 180-200 rms runnin to mine. Will this effect them at all?? Sorry for so many questions just want to get what im lookin for, also i dont have any place to listen to these...

The CDT titanium is actually pretty good, not harsh. With the CL62s, I chose this over the 25mm silk, for the detail. But, I just bought a pair of Auras MR62s that have a 1" silk tweeter and I have to say I prefer this. It's just as detailed as the CDT titanium, but clearer and crisper. Sounds like you will like the titaniums.

After looking at it a couple of times it says silk tweeter and even the image inhancement system says silk..??? I thought you were able to pick with CDT stuff? I will be purchasing through http://www.mmexpress.com they have a deal goin on for like 199.00 for the cl-62i and 58.99 for the image kit....anyone know how i get the titanium?

ive only heard the cdt's w/ a silk...dont think they make a titanium or any type of metalic..but hey, i dont no shit!!

My advice is to give Djdilliodon a try. He's an authorized CDT dealer. You'll find him on this forum. I bought my CDTs through Don and he gave me the option of switching tweeters. From what he's been telling everyone, CDT is coming out with new equipment. You may want to inquire what's available for $200. His prices are some of the lowest. Consider the EF line, comes with a better midbass, I think he's selling low model EF for $165.

CDT u can order them anyway u like. If u wanted u can get the cl-62 with 200z xovers and metal tweets doesnt matter. Cdt actually has 2 metal domes as of now. They just released the new DRT-26 1" 26mm tweeters which come in silk, titanium, and aluminum. These tweeters are SWEET and have switchable housings for swapping different domes without rewiring or removing anything. They also slim down the housing compared to the HUGE tw25s 1" tweeters they have. If u guys want pics and all that good stuff ill start another thread if u like
